It's just OK.

I found this game to be annoying... trees blocked my view of the path so I was unable to see how much damage the enemies where taking.

Units had no description of what they did, how much damage they dished out, or how many spaces they could reach forcing you to simply build and find out the hard way.

Treasure is pointless as the slot machine game is pure luck with like a 1 in a 200 chance of winning, spells take too much mana and you don't find enough potions to justify their use, and I've never once found a health potion.

I dislike the fact that I can't sell units, I get no rewards at the end of the stage for having the units, and when I build a unit in the next stage, I don't get to keep my upgrades. Money is almost non-existant and there is no way to earn more in a pinch meaning the entire game can be lost simply because you spent a little too much in a previous level. If I have 3 ninjas that are level 3, then the first 3 ninjas I build in the next stage, should start at level 3. Your main flaw here is that you give us the same amount of money as every other defense game, but unlike other defense games, you remove all of our towers and their respected upgrades at the start of each level. >:(

The fact that defenders couldn't reach the entire path was annoying too... since you have no idea where the enemies are going to spawn you're almost always forced to build enough of everything to cover the entire path. This means you have to build two archers, so why not just let them shoot across the whole path and increase their price to $200? If anything, they should get an increase in range when they level up.

There seems to be no constant strategy to the game either. The first few times I played 8 archers (4 on each side of the path) was enough to win the stage, but ever time after that it took anywhere from 10 to 14 with no clear reason as to why.

I found it annoying that my only potions came from digging but I had to keep clicking the shovel tool to dig. Why can't I just click it once and remain on the shovel until I click something else?

The graphics where nice, the animations where smooth, and the music was good... nothing great but it didn't suck. It fit well with the game. But the gameplay itself was just average.

Nicely done.

I really enjoyed this idea but I think there is probably some more you could have done with it. Then again, with file-size limits and all, maybe this is all you could fit in.

I think it would have been cool if I could actually die. Right now, it's not so much a game as it is an interactive movie. Maybe adding in other typical "FPS" aspects would be sweet too. You know, like making the player reload his gun, or haveing a secondary weapon (like gernades) that you could throw.

The video was sweet but next time you should take it up a notch. Maybe have more then one attacker at a time, or have a few parts where you duck behind objects for protection or something. Some more environment interaction could be cool too... like uh... make it so I have to shoot boxes above an attackers head that fall and kill him instead of just always shooting people. Things like that.

Really good game though. Just tossing out some ideas.

FUCK!

FOR HOLY FUCKING CHRIST DON'T REMOVE THE "SKIP" BUTTON FROM THE INTRO. HOly shit man... how many fucking times do I have to watch that boring ass shit-excuse for a story because I have a whole 2 seconds to hit "skip"... just leave the fucking button there. It's annoying.

And add a god damn "restart" or "return to menu" button. Fuck man, you spent years making possibly the best game on the internet and you're too fucking lazy to add these two small features. The game is great, but these two tiny-tiny details are pissing me off beliefe.

I kept getting stuck

You addressed this issue in the comments but I didn't realize how bad of a problem it was until I started playing. Especially considering that some of the magic stones are hidden behind or close to objects that cause you to get stuck.

My only real reason for a comment is to ask one question.

Why don't you just add a feature that moves the character to the center of the map? That way, if you get stuck, you just hit a button and be moved away from the object that trapped you.

Needs work

The Idea is ok, but it's been done many times before. The diffrence, is that this is one of the worst I've seen.

1. There are not enough options. It should be like a mad libs where we get to enter more then just our name and what we are looking for. Adjectives, Verbs, Locations... all of these should be choices. This would spice up the program a lot

2. The stories made no sense. There where parts in my generation that said something like "Nate went to McDonalds after which he." What kind of a sentence is that?

3. There where minor bugs. Which is normally ok but in a program this simple, you have no excuse. I noticed lack of punctuation or spaces. Especially after the Names. Example: "Natekissed nailgun".

The idea is ok, but I don't think it's ready to pass the portal yet. Just another hour or two worth of work and you would have something a lot better then you do now.

It was just "OK"

The graphics and the control was excellent but the game itself needs a lot of work. All together there where only 4 rounds and two guys to fight. Not much of a game...

On top of that, you would almost have to be mentally challanged to lose. The enemy can't hit you if you stand on top of them, and standing on them doesn't hurt you. So if you and the enemy occupy the same space on the map, your almost invincibal...

I just walked back and forth with the enemy holding the a button to hand out constant attacks and beat the game on my first try, first time playing, without ever once losing half of my life.

Other then that, everything was great. Maybe add a little more game play features or harder bosses.

Wonderful

Great game, I haven't played one like that since the days of Sega CD. The art and animation was spectacular and the controls where great. My only real complaint washow short it was... but I won't hold that against you as I can only imagine how long it must have taken to finish this.

I really want to praise you on the flashing objects. They where easy to see and clearly displayed on the screen makeing this a game of reacation and not "What is flashing?".

I would like to see a sequal as the story never really finishes, hint hint.

No.

The graphics where excellent but the game itself was shit. I waited forever without seeing a single rabbit and my mouse kept scrolling out of the game window when I tried to move.

Changing the mouse to arrows and adding animals to hunt might make this a lot better. But as of now, I don't see the point.

I also could not go back to the main map. I got to choose an insertion point, but there was no way, durring the game, for me to choose another one. Thus, I was stuck in the rabbit-less hell forever.

Great Game

But I found it had a great deal to do with luck. I played many a game where my opponent got all the life cards where I got nothing but Dispels and poison. I guess there is no way around that... just sucked that you would lose simply because you got delt a shitty hand.

Other then that, this was a great game. I played it for a good hour or so, and I'll probably go back and play it again when I have more time.

How in the fuck did this make the front page?

This is just proof that Tom pays little or no attention to what he showcases on the front page these days. Although the concept was great, the game was complete shit... even for a dateing sim.

There was absolutly no story. The game was full of bugs, and lacked helpful information that might allow one to enjoy the game without just guessing as to what's happening.

For instance, you can't workout past a certain time... but the game doesn't tell you what time or why. Why can't I run at 2 in the morning? Does the "crater" close... it's a hole in the ground for fucks sake. Without a text box saying "run 12-6" you just have to guess and hope you can still work out.

The girls are random and there is really no way to control who you want to "date". Not that it matters, you can date them all if you want and there are absolutly no consequences or challanges involved.

On top of that, the game takes way to long to advance with little proof that you are actually advanceing with the girls. When you first meet them, you choose "Talk" and a screen pops up that says "uh... hello?". This happens... well... forever. They never say anything else regardless of how many Experiance Points you have with the girl. A bug, or just a shitty design?

The inventory menu doesn't work which makes it very difficult to figure out what you own, if anything. Hell, maybe the inventory works fine and the shop is broke. Who Knows? Even after 2,000 experiance points, I still couldn't do anything with the girls. Even trying to give them a gift brought up the "Get Lost" screen. Another bug? The question is, with a broken inventory, even if they did want my gift; would it be listed for me to hand to them? I'm betting "no".

It's also worth pointing out that you can continue to make choices after the inital spot. Click "Talk", wait for the blue screen to appear, and then click the mouse again. You can't see the Talk button, but it still works and your Experiance points still rise. This works with all buttons... a huge bug.

Checking the stats on the girls was also broke. Even after 2,000 experiance points, it still said the girls where just "Strangers". Except Tifa... she eventually started popping up as "No relation".

Even the author admited this game was shit. It's sad when something this busted can make front page when lots of great artists go unknown every day in the portal... did Tom even play this or is the Front Page just a script that runs every so many days and takes games with a good score? How did this get a good score... is the idea of sex enough these days. Pathetic.
